Photographing life-lifestyle portraiture.
Lifestyle portraiture is about photographs in an environment that is comfortable to the sitter, and incorporating that environment in a way that adds to the editorial story telling quality of the image. My portrait sessions take place in the comfort of your own home, or a familiar place. I schedule most sessions for at least an hour to give everyone time to get comfortable.
In addition to being a portrait & wedding photographer, I am also a published commercial photographer and graphic designer.
I was born and raised in the very small town of Harmony, Maine. My parents were part of the back to the land movement, and they built their own home and raised much of their own food. Their commitment to the environment has stuck with me, and I strive to be as environmentally conscious as possible in both my personal life and my business. I enjoy almost any outdoor activity, good food, good wine, good beer, and good coffee (in my opinion Coffee By Design is the best). I live in a renovated mill building condo in Somersworth, New Hampshire with my fiance Meg and our 2 year old daughter Lucy.
